Key Responsibilities of a Manufacturing Manager:
- Overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met
- Managing and leading a team to drive efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Implementing and maintaining health & safety and quality control procedures
- Identifying process improvements to optimise workflow and reduce waste
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and meet business objectives
- Monitoring production schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Training, mentoring, and developing staff to enhance skills and performance
Key Skills of a Manufacturing Manager:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing management role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance
- Effective communication and organisational skills
