We are recruiting for a Management Accountant to cover maternity leave to join the finance team based at our offices in Loughborough. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the finance team. The main function of this role is to provide accurate and timely management accounts to the Financial Controller & Head of Finance.
Description:
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Preparing the monthly management accounts for submission to the Board of Directors * Analytical interrogation of financial data and present findings to management team * Working with external auditors to deliver annual statutory accounts * Collating weekly and monthly payroll data for submission to third party payroll provider for processing * Ongoing development of financial controls and procedures * Maintenance and reconciliation of the balance sheet including fixed asset registers * Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns and annual P11Ds and PSA returns to HMRC * Development of monthly cost centre reviews * Deputise for Financial Controller as required
Experience:
Candidates wishing to apply for the role should demonstrate the following:
Essential
* Recognised UK Accountancy qualification - ACA, ACCA or CIMA * 2-3 plus years recent experience in a similar role * Excel skills to include VLOOKUP's, pivot tables and formulas * Strong and clear communication skills, both written and verbal * Ability to work to deadlines * Good organisational skills
Desirable
* Experience of Dynamics 365
