Macildowie are working with a dynamic client based in Loughborough to recruit for an Assistant Accountant. This is a permanent, full-time position with working hours from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The role offers a salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.

This role is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for an experienced candidate who has worked alongside a Finance Director previously and can bring with them experience of financial reporting. They are seeking somebody who is keen to add value to a business and bring longevity to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in entering financial data into accounting systems.
  • Prepare financial reports and briefings for management.
  • Support month-end closure processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.
  • Maintain accurate statutory records.

Requirements:

  • Experience in accounting and financial administration.
  • Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
