We are looking for an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer to join a team on a temporary, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ASB cases, investigating complaints, and working closely with residents, partners, and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
THE ROLE
As an ASB Officer, you will provide a proactive and responsive service to residents facing anti-social behaviour issues. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing ASB cases from complaint to resolution, ensuring timely and effective action
• Conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators
• Taking appropriate enforcement action against ASB perpetrators, including preparing statements for legal proceedings
• Working closely with partner agencies, including the police and social services, to address ASB concerns
• Providing advice and support to victims of ASB, including those affected by domestic abuse and harassment
• Monitoring CCTV and noise recording equipment to gather evidence in compliance with legislation
• Attending court hearings and evictions as required

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar ASB role, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and enforcement processes. Additional requirements include:

• A minimum of two years' experience handling ASB cases
• Knowledge of housing, civil, and criminal law, including the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime, and Policing Act 2014
• Experience working with vulnerable residents, including those facing mental health issues and financial hardship
• Strong investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
