About The Role

As a Sales Coordinator / Customer Support Advisor / Order Processor, you will initially operate from my client’s office in the Shepshed / Loughborough area of Leicestershire before moving to a 2-day home / 3-days office arrangement, once fully operational.

After the completion of your induction and product training you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to incoming requests for quotations from a diverse range of UK customers.
  • Utilising the SAP system to provide customers with pricing and stock availability of spare and replacement parts.
  • Liaising with the manufacturing facilities and external suppliers regarding alternatives for obsolete components should a superseded part number not be listed on the system.
  • Processing customer orders on the SAP system.
  • Typically dealing with 5-10 quotations per day
  • Following up on any outstanding quotes to handle any questions the customer may have and determine if they wish to place the order.

About You

Experience working in an engineering business is essential as is a strong order management background with effective organisation and coordination skills. It would also be beneficial if you have experience of SAP or another similar ERP software. 

Technical qualifications will be advantageous, but not essential.

To fit this profile, you will be an ambitious individual with great communication skills and the ability to retain technical information. Due to the nature of the role, it’s also essential you have strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.

Other key skills include:

  • Competent use of Microsoft Office, Outlook & CRM / ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle etc.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Comfortable building & maintaining trusting relationships with customers.
  • Organised with a desire to learn.
  • Good attention to detail.
