Job Title: Trainee Paint Shop Operative

Location: Leicestershire, LE12

Salary: £12.00 to £12.50 per hour depending on experience

Shift: 7:30am to 4pm Mon to Fri

The Company:

A leading metal fabrication business located in the East midlands that produces medium sheet metal fabrications for the UK and worldwide.

The Trainee Paint Shop Operative Role:

  • Load and unload machinery
  • Assist paint sprayers
  • Sanding and fettling
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Preparing parts for spraying
  • Training with paint spraying and proper use of equipment
  • Any other duties as request

The Candidate

  • Have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment

  • Be comfortable with consistent heavy lifting

  • Be competent with the use of hand and power tools

  • Be good at taking verbal and visual training instructions

  • Be willing to undertake other duties such as loading and unloading, assembly and paint preparation

  • Be reliable and flexible towards working hours and overtime

  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Be proactive and suggest improvements.
