Waste Management Operative.
My public sector client are currently looking for reliable Waste Operatives to work in Loughborough.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Waste Operative to join our team. As a Waste Operative, you will be responsible for collecting, sorting, and disposing of waste materials in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collecting waste from designated areas.
- Sorting recyclable materials from general waste.
- Load outgoing vehicles either in bulk or bales as required to driver/offtaker specification and accurately document.
- Ensuring compliance with waste management regulations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in waste collection areas.
- Operating a loading shovel so will require a Plant Ticket qualification.
- The nature of the work may involve the jobholder carrying out work at different locations across the County.
Experience:
- Previous experience in waste management or a similar role preferred.
- Ability to operate waste disposal machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Hours and Pay:
-13.25- 15 Per Hour D.O.E.
-8.5 hours a day - 30 minute unpaid lunch.
-Monday - Friday work - occasional weekend work when required.
-Winter hours between 9am - 4pm
-Bank Holidays.
