Our client in LE11 are looking for a Buyer to join their team. If you have experience in purchasing and inventory management in a distribution/manufacturing environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing a number of portfolio of products and suppliers. Your duties will include optimising customer satisfaction and service levels, managing inventory plans and purchase orders, and improving supplier delivery performance.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Pay rate: £15.91 per hour(around 30k per annum)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of products and suppliers.
  • Optimise customer satisfaction and inventory investment by effectively managing the inventory plan and purchase order process.
  • Identify problems, analyse data, and make accurate decisions to drive operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Track shipments of purchase orders and take necessary actions in case of delays.
  • Manage delivery issues in collaboration with different warehouses.

Required:

  • Knowledge and experience in purchasing/inventory management
  • Excellent analytical skills and intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
