Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people?
As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker in a Residential Children Home based in Loughborough, you will provide essential care and support to children and young people diagnosed with learning disabilities, autism, and those who may present behaviours that challenge.
Your role will be pivotal in fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.

Successful candidates will:
1. Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and young people.
2. Implement personalised care plans and support strategies.
3. Encourage and support the development of life skills and independence.
4. Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours.
5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
6. Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Desirable Experience:
1. Previous experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities and autism.
2. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
3. Experience in managing challenging behaviours.
4. Understanding of therapeutic approaches and interventions.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
