This client needs someone who gets how a business really runs, someone who can roll up their sleeves, talk to people at every level, and make finance useful rather than just a box-ticking exercise.
They work fast, they work together, and they get things done. This is a business where finance is at the heart of decision-making, not just something that happens in the background.
What you'll actually be doing:
Coaching their Financial Controller, not taking over, they know the day-to-day inside out. Your job is to help them grow, add value, and think bigger.Translating finance for the real world, the numbers are great, but what do they actually mean? You'll help the team understand why they're smashing their KPIs and what they need to do next.Getting into the nuts and bolts of stock , you'll help them really get under the skin of stock movements, cash flow impact, and where they can be smarter.Long-term planning, not a 100 page strategy document, just real, practical insights that help them grow sustainably.Becoming part of the team, no ivory towers here. You'll be in the thick of it, talking to operations, sales, and leadership to make finance work for the whole business.
