Group Financial Accountant - High-Growth PE-Backed Business

I’m exclusively supporting a high-growth, international, multi-channel e-commerce business backed by a US Private Equity Firm, to hire a Group Financial Accountant.

This isn’t your typical finance role. You’ll be right in the heart of the business - working on technical accounting, controls, systems, and processes that impact multiple entities across the group. The company is scaling fast, with international operations, and has just implemented NetSuite. The timing couldn’t be better - you’ll join at the beginning of a new financial year, right as the audit signs off and the new system goes live.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will:

Lead the audit process and manage deliverables across the group
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations (focusing on stock, goodwill, etc.)
Support on group consolidation and statutory accounts
Work on technical papers, including going concern, impairment, and accounting standards
Collaborate with tax advisers on transfer pricing, R&D tax credits, and corporate tax
Partner with teams across the business to understand how stock and systems flow before reconciliation
Improve and embed financial controls, especially during the NetSuiteroll-out

Who we’re looking for:

ACA-qualified (or equivalent), either newly qualified or up to 2-5 years PQE
Trained in practice, or in industry with strong audit exposure
Strong grasp of technical accounting, control environments, and balance sheet ownership
A self-starter with curiosity, pace, and the desire to understand how the whole business works
Confident managing auditors, challenging stakeholders, and juggling multiple projects
Ideally has experience with stock accounting, ERP implementations, or multi-entity businesses
Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced, scale-up environment with big-company expectations
