Accounts Payable Clerk

Butler Rose is pleased to be supporting a global distribution business with the recruitment of an Accounts Payable Clerk for a fast-paced, high-performing finance team within a dynamic and growing company. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous accounts payable experience to thrive and contribute to a global operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices in Sage, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
• Reconcile supplier statements and match invoices against purchase orders.
• Review and manage aged payables, applying credit notes and resolving disputes with suppliers.
• Allocate payments, maintain supplier records, and manage the accounts payable inbox.
• Support the finance team with administrative tasks and escalate payment requests when necessary.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk in a high-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
• Proficiency in Sage 50, Excel, Word, and other finance-related software.
• AAT qualification or similar accounting certification is desirable but not essential.
