My client is a leader in the supply of sophisticated laboratory based analytical instrumentation, used in a wide range of applications, including instrumentation used in materials science and materials characterisation, density analysers and particle size anaiysers.

The Role - Inside Sales Engineer, Laboratory Instrumentation

Following expansion, they seek to recruit a customer-focused Inside Sales Engineer, responsible for sales across their measurement instrumentation product range.

Responsibilities:
  •  To provide first line technical support for incoming enquiries on the responsible Measurement, Process and ASC products
  •  To self-generate leads and opportunities for the responsible products to enhance sales pipeline development
  •  To qualify and nurture Measurement, process and ASC leads until ready for follow up by sales engineers,
  •  To manage opportunities for defined products (e.g. accessories, low value instruments) covering qualification, quotation, follow up and closing of orders
  •  To support Luton office based customer demonstrations and application development as required 
  •  To build strong working relationships with our sales, service, administration, marketing and producing organisations in order to achieve both personal and team success
  •  To ensure timely use of the company’s CRM system in recording customer communication

Your Background – Inside Sales Engineer, Laboratory Instrumentation

To be considered for this exciting role, you will ideally be able to demonstrate the following:

  •      Experience of using laboratory instrumentation and sound application knowledge
  •      Suitable candidates should hold a degree (or equivalent) in chemistry, physics, material science or related discipline.
  •      Strong communication and interpersonal skills through all media.
  •      Self-motivated, enthusiastic, can do attitude, able to work under own initiative
  •      Good computer literacy. Competent in use of MS Office and CRM software 
  •      Availability to travel within the UK as required and occasionally overseas for training and business meetings
  •      Must hold a valid UK driving licence
