Finance Analyst (9-Month FTC) - Up to £35,000I'm working with a fantastic client who's looking for an Interim Finance Analyst to join their team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to make a real impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.What you'll be doing:* Taking ownership of financial reporting for a portfolio of UK accounts, including P&L and Balance Sheet responsibilities.* Producing timely and accurate monthly reports, comparing performance against budgets.* Providing insightful variance analysis, explaining key differences and trends.* Managing reconciliations for designated balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.* Supporting process improvements and helping to strengthen the financial control environment.* Engaging with key stakeholders to enhance understanding of financial performance and drive optimisation.* Assisting with ad-hoc projects, including system and process enhancements, VAT compliance, and reporting improvements.* Supporting audits, statutory accounts preparation, and tax pack submissions.What we're looking for:* A positive attitude and commitment to personal development.* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills.* A degree (2:1 or above) in any discipline and a genuine interest in pursuing a professional accounting qualification.* Proficiency in financial reporting and reconciliation processes, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.This role is hybrid, with occasional travel to UK sites to engage with operational teams and enhance processes.
