About the Role

CloudScope recruitment are seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Advisor with a strong focus on Employee Relations (ER) to join our clients dynamic Human Resources team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, offering expert advice and support to managers and employees alike. Your goal will be to foster a positive, productive, and compliant workplace environment that aligns with organizational values and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Act as the first point of contact for ER issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Provide expert advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment legislation to ensure consistent and fair application.
  • Manage and lead investigations into complex ER cases, ensuring timely and thorough documentation and resolution.
  • Support change management initiatives, including restructures, redundancies, and TUPE (where applicable).
  • Monitor trends in ER issues to identify potential risks and recommend proactive interventions.

HR Advisory

  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, offering strategic and operational HR guidance.
  • Coach and support line managers in handling HR-related matters effectively and confidently.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law and best practices.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure all ER processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all ER cases and outcomes.
  • Analyze ER data and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and recommendations.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in an HR advisory role with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations.
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple ER cases, balancing attention to detail with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Desirable Skills:

  • CIPD Level 5 or above qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a unionized environment or working with trade unions.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and data analysis tools.
