Senior IT Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior IT Technician to join a dedicated and growing team. This role involves managing and supporting IT systems across multiple sites, playing a key role in ensuring smooth IT operations within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in managing, monitoring, and supporting IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and efficient.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support, resolving escalated incidents and ensuring effective problem management.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and contribute to key IT projects.
• Monitor critical systems including anti-virus, server hardware, and networking equipment, responding to alerts in a timely manner.
• Manage relationships with third-party service providers and coordinate urgent or complicated technical issues.
• Provide on-site and remote support across all locations, ensuring a high standard of IT service delivery.
• Ensure all systems, processes, and procedures are documented and communicated clearly to relevant stakeholders.
• Train and mentor junior IT staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in network design, configuration, and management.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve server and network infrastructure issues.
• Strong knowledge of Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, and Hyper-V environments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Flexibility to travel between sites as required.

Desirable Skills:

• Microsoft Certified Professional or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Cisco switching, Smoothwall, and PowerShell scripting.
