Quality Assurance Engineer

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for quality? We're seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that our client's products meet the highest standards. In this role, you'll drive the development and implementation of inspection activities, solve problems as they arise, and deliver results that make a difference.

What You'll Do:

As a key member of our client's team, you will:

- Develop, implement, and manage Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and associated directives, procedures, and instructions.

- Oversee quality control and assurance procedures, ensuring all contract requirements are met.

- Review enquiry documents and prepare QA/QC documentation for quotations.

- Manage contract quality plans and ensure daily updates on live QPs.

- Control Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).

- Ensure compliance with relevant standards through certification checks and approvals.

- Monitor sub-contract deliveries for progress, compliance, and deadlines.

- Maintain weld and welder qualifications where necessary.

- Ensure changes to specifications align with engineering requirements and industry standards like ASME and API.

- Support cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Production, and Manufacturing.

- Lead or contribute to quality improvement projects and internal/external audits.

- Verify material certifications and approve supplier ITPs and procedures.

What You'll Bring:

- At least 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Engineering role.

- Knowledge of aerospace or MoD/BAE/Rolls Royce specifications.

- Ability to interpret technical drawings and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Full UK passport (single nationality) and a valid driving license.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Familiarity with GS3001, ISO 9001, 14001, IBR/PED standards.

- Experience with security clearances such as BPSS, CTC, SC, and DV.

- Knowledge of Epicor System (job planning).

- Internal and external auditing experience.

- Understanding of PCN/SNT standards.
