This is a fantastic opportunity for a Traffic Signals Engineer to join one of the UK's Local Government Organisations in a highly technical and autonomous role offering excellent benefits, career progression & work/life balance.

In this role you will report into the Lighting & Signals Team Leader, where you will be providing support to the Assets & Engineering Manager in the preparation, delivery and management of ATS and UTC related traffic management and highway engineering projects. The post holder will also manage inventories of all ATS and UTC sites and equipment to enable maintenance and upgrades to take place in a planned order of priority.

The ideal candidate will be experienced Traffic Signals Engineer where you will take responsibility for the supervision of a small team and will report directly to the Lighting and Signals Delivery and Asset Management Team Leader.

The Role:

* Preparation, delivery and management of ATS and UTC related traffic management and highway engineering projects
* Providing expert technical advice in assessing signalisation schemes submitted by developers in relation to planning applications.
* Hybrid Working

The Person:

* In-depth experience in developing and producing detailed designs for and managing Automatic Traffic Signal (ATS) and Urban Traffic Management & Control (UTC) installations.
* Experience in procuring and site supervision of ATS and UTC installations and their auxiliary equipment.
* Experienced in using AutoCAD
