Hours - 37.5per week, Monday - Friday

 

 

The Role

 

  • Lead the area team to safely deliver quality production whilst maximising efficiency and profitability of the product portfolio.
  • Achieve daily production line productivity KPIs and the drive improvements on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Ensure quality of produced goods and adherence with relevant hygiene standards.
  • Attain the specified production plan and meet customer delivery requirements.
  • To ensure area budget is met and strategic area improvement projects are timely implemented.
  • Responsible for all aspects of people management for Assistant Production Manager and strong leadership interaction to Shift Manager and area operatives.

 

Duties & Responsibilities of the Production Manager

 

  • To ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the operational activities. Carry out MESURs, Safety audits, deliver SOPs in accordance with safety KPIs to promote and improve workplace safety. Ensure that high standards and discipline is in place and that rules are constantly respected.
  • Maximize output off all productive assets, in a controlled and efficient manner as well as debottleneck the line efficiency and quality restrictions.
  • To lead grade change planning.
  • Ensure good communication and a positive working relationship is being developed with cross-functional teams (Process, Engineering, Quality, NPD, Finishing).
  • To lead and implement area Strategy Deployment initiatives.
  • Drive change towards engagement and empowerment culture.
  • Oversee workplace audit processes and ensure they are being followed on at a high standard.
  • Lead problem solving events in a structured and organized manner.
