Air Conditioning Engineer

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team, delivering high-quality installations and maintenance for commercial clients. Our work covers everything from planned maintenance and reactive call-outs to fault finding, repairs, and new system installations. With a strong client base across the facilities management sector and direct end-user estates, you’ll be working in a range of environments, including schools, offices, public buildings, factories, warehouses, and residential properties.

The advertised salary reflects experience with split air conditioning systems, but candidates with chiller expertise may be eligible for additional pay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently install all types of split air conditioning systems.

  • Diagnose and repair faults on split systems and some VRF systems.

  • Carry out work safely, following written RAMS and health & safety guidelines.

  • Support low-carbon and renewable energy initiatives.

  • Provide regular updates on project progress in line with schedules.

  • Maintain company assets, including vehicles and equipment.

  • Set professional standards and mentor junior team members.

  • Complete reports and documentation to a high standard.

  • Be professional and courteous when interacting with clients.

  • Be open to occasional short-term travel for projects.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the air conditioning industry

  • NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration

  • FGAS 2079 certification

  • Strong technical confidence with split systems, VRVs, and a good understanding of chillers and air handling units.

  • Experience working with RAMS and site health & safety protocols.

  • Great communication skills for working with clients and colleagues.

  • Willingness to undertake additional training.

  • First Aid, IPAF, and PASMA certifications are beneficial (training can be provided if needed).
