Hotel Duty Manager £28-30k - Live In - Lyndhurst
Full Job Description
Offering a warm welcome and comfortable beds, located in Lyndhurst, the heart of The New Forest, The Hotel is an independent with a 4 star standard.
Looking for a Duty Manager to join the wonderful team. Your main focus will be the day-to-day duty management of the to include all departments.
You will be either on the 7am-3pm shift or 3pm-11pm shift so this is a 40 hours a week role
Live in can be provided for this role, salary for live in would be £28,000 and live out would be £30,000
MAIN ACTIVITIES/TASKS
* overseeing the bar & grill service;
* managing a team of staff;
* meeting and greeting guests;
* dealing with guest issues and resolving them;
* training key members of the team;
* ensuring events and conferences run smoothly;
* dealing with contractors and suppliers;
* ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
As a Duty Manager you are given a responsibility and as such need to be exemplary in your role, displaying all of the following:
* food and beverage experience
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* the ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions;
* numeracy and logistical planning skills;
* a calm and rational approach to situations;
* a 'can do' mentality;
* energy and flexibility.
Straight shifts varying across 5 out of 7 days (40 hours a week) from either 7am - 3pm or 3pm - 11pm. Must be available to work weekends.
