Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join a partner school based in Islington. You will be working with under 5 year olds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, demonstrating the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires effective communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage diverse groups of children while fostering their development through play and structured activities.

The working hours will be either 8am to 2pm or 12pm to 6pm.

Duties

  • Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and nap times, ensuring children's needs are met at all times.

Experience

  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is desirable.
  • Previous experience working with children under 5 years in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
