An outstanding opportunity is available for an ambitious Family Solicitor with at least 6-12 months of PQE to join a leading law firm in Cheshire, close to the Cheshire Golden Triangle. The ideal candidate will bring experience managing their own mixed caseload of private family matters, demonstrating both independence and collaborative skills. Role Overview: The appointed Family Lawyer will focus on all aspects of private family law, with responsibilities including:
  • Handling a broad range of private family law matters.
  • Managing financial remedy cases, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes.
  • Advising and representing clients in divorce proceedings.
  • Dealing with private children law issues
  • Preparing and advising on pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements to protect clients' interests.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking charge of a diverse caseload involving various private family law matters.
  • Providing expert legal advice and representation in areas such as divorce, financial remedy, and child custody disputes.
  • Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing pre-nuptial, cohabitation, and other family law agreements.
  • Maintaining a high level of client service, understanding, and meeting clients’ needs with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Contributing to the team’s success by supporting and developing less experienced team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 1 years’ PQE in family law.
  • Proven experience in managing a varied caseload of private family law matters.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to clients.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player who contributes to the overall success of the department.
