Conveyancing Assistant

We are looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to provide essential support to our Residential team and a Senior Fee Earner. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of solid work experience in a Residential Conveyancing Department and will be adept at using a high degree of self-management and initiative.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide direct support to your line manager and the department to ensure optimum efficiency.
  • Handle client and third-party communications effectively via telephone, written correspondence, and occasionally face-to-face.
  • Responsible for chasing documentation, ID, mortgage offers, and searches.
  • Maintain the case management system and any third-party websites with up-to-date information.
  • Ensure clients and business introducers receive the best possible service at all times.
  • Prepare documentation required for the conveyancing process.
  • Prepare completion packs for the accounts department, including completion statements and invoices.
  • Manage post-exchange matters as directed by your team manager.
  • Handle completions on the day of completion.
  • Comply with all firm policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other administrative duties as required to support your team and others when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong administrative skills gained in an office environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good telephone manner and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organised with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • A collaborative team player and an excellent communicator.
  • Experience of using a case management system is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Conveyancing Assistant in a Residential Conveyancing Department.
