Your new companyA major pharmaceutical business in Cheshire is seeking an interim Supply Planner with a clinical / pharma background to join their team for an initial 12 month contract, with a likelihood of extension. This role falls outside scope of IR35.Your new roleThe Clinical Supply Planner will take responsibility for building elements of the supply chain process, contributing to building an planning ecosystem across Clinical Supply Chain & R&D that delivers for patients while minimising waste. In this role, you will:

  • Develop supply planning processes which help make informed decisions on how much inventory to hold, how frequently to manufacture, and to give accurate insights on lead times.
  • Support senior stakeholders and be a key member of a team of clinical supply chain experts.
  • Design optimal and repeatable processes working closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Programme and Business/IT Data Teams to define the data requirements for the processes, analytics, and reporting.
  • Be the 'go-to' for clinical supply chain capability, defining and communicating current and future business processes and improvement opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A Supply Planning background from within a clinical or pharmaceutical setting
  • Understanding of supply planning methodologies, especially in updating and refreshing safety stock designs, make frequencies & lead times and how to parameterise these
  • Experience of documenting and deploying supply planning processes
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language for non-supply chain stakeholders in the company
  • Good communication and relationship building skills with an ability to influence others to achieve objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver business change across multiple locations or business functions.
