Job Opportunity - Business Support Officer (Local Authority)

Contract Duration: 3+ months
Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: 12.59 per hour
Principal Responsibilities:
- Schedule and organise multi-agency and Senior Management Board meetings. Responsibilities include coordinating agendas, minutes, reports, venues, attendance, and follow-up actions.
- Manage and organise records, filing, and general administrative tasks for the Children's Partnership Boards and related teams. This includes financial processing to streamline operations and optimise team time.
- Serve as a primary point of contact, liaising directly with Partnership Board members, senior managers, and partner agencies.
- Plan and coordinate events, including Board Meetings, conferences, development days, and multi-agency workshops for the Children's Partnership Boards and related teams.
- Maintain administrative systems within the team, including handling calls, managing emails, and ensuring organised correspondence and filing.
Person Specification:
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success in a similar administrative role, ideally within local government.
- Proven experience in arranging meetings and minute-taking.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent ICT proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office.
- Effective communicator, with strong verbal and written skills and the ability to engage with various audiences.
