Job Opportunity - Business Support Officer (Local Authority)

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and organise multi-agency and Senior Management Board meetings. Responsibilities include coordinating agendas, minutes, reports, venues, attendance, and follow-up actions.
  • Manage and organise records, filing, and general administrative tasks for the Children's Partnership Boards and related teams. This includes financial processing to streamline operations and optimise team time.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact, liaising directly with Partnership Board members, senior managers, and partner agencies.
  • Plan and coordinate events, including Board Meetings, conferences, development days, and multi-agency workshops for the Children's Partnership Boards and related teams.
  • Maintain administrative systems within the team, including handling calls, managing emails, and ensuring organised correspondence and filing.

Person Specification:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar administrative role, ideally within local government.
  • Proven experience in arranging meetings and minute-taking.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent ICT proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communicator, with strong verbal and written skills and the ability to engage with various audiences.
