Financial Controller - Maidenhead, Berkshire - £65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits (5 days in the office)

FryerMiles is working exclusively with a leading New Homes / Construction company to hire a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced hands-on Financial Controller to help optimise the financial processes and ensure accurate month end close, reporting into the Finance Director and managing a small finance function.

The duties of the Management Accountant include:

  • Day to day management of the finance function including accurate maintenance of client and office accounts.
  • Monitoring internal controls and accounting systems and procedures.
  • Analysing complex financial information and reports to provide accurate financial recommendations to the partners.
  • Preparing of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements to tight deadlines.
  • Preparation of Cashflow forecasting.
  • Coordinating preparation and presentation of group budgets and forecasts including subsidiaries.
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts and audit information.
  • Carry out CIS returns
  • Various ad hoc financial and operational project to contribute to the ongoing success of the partnership.
  • Experience using Eque2 and Sage 50 desirable but not essential.
  • Processing of Sub-Contractor payment applications and accounting for Retention.  

The successful Management Accountant will:

  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships with suppliers.
  • Hands on new home or construction experience.
  • Confident and effective telephone skills when taking calls as required.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Excel including using VLOOKUP's and other formulas.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.
