Financial Controller - Maidenhead, Berkshire - £65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits (5 days in the office)
FryerMiles is working exclusively with a leading New Homes / Construction company to hire a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced hands-on Financial Controller to help optimise the financial processes and ensure accurate month end close, reporting into the Finance Director and managing a small finance function.
The duties of the Management Accountant include:
- Day to day management of the finance function including accurate maintenance of client and office accounts.
- Monitoring internal controls and accounting systems and procedures.
- Analysing complex financial information and reports to provide accurate financial recommendations to the partners.
- Preparing of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements to tight deadlines.
- Preparation of Cashflow forecasting.
- Coordinating preparation and presentation of group budgets and forecasts including subsidiaries.
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts and audit information.
- Carry out CIS returns
- Various ad hoc financial and operational project to contribute to the ongoing success of the partnership.
- Experience using Eque2 and Sage 50 desirable but not essential.
- Processing of Sub-Contractor payment applications and accounting for Retention.
The successful Management Accountant will:
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with suppliers.
- Hands on new home or construction experience.
- Confident and effective telephone skills when taking calls as required.
- Confident use of Microsoft Excel including using VLOOKUP's and other formulas.
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.
