Position Overview:

As a Sales Development Representative, the primary responsibility will be to generate high-quality leads through prospecting and cold calling. This role is essential in building the sales pipeline by booking meetings with potential clients, which will be handed over to the sales team for further engagement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and technology, and the drive to contribute to the success of a leading IoT company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound prospecting (cold calls, emails, and social outreach) to identify new business opportunities in targeted industries.
  • Qualify leads based on customer needs and ensure they are a good fit for the company’s IoT solutions.
  • Schedule meetings and demos for the sales team, setting them up for success in closing deals.
  • Update and maintain lead and customer data in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to fine-tune outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), including meetings booked and new business development.
  • Provide feedback and insights from prospects to help refine sales strategies and improve overall outreach.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in a sales development, lead generation, or outbound sales role (preferably in tech, SaaS, or IoT industries).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects effectively.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and generating interest in new clients.
  • A strong team player with a positive attitude and a goal-driven approach to work.
