Job Role: External Sales
Location: Maidenhead
Salary: 40,000 - 50,000
Metalis are working with a family run business with over 30years trading experience to recruit an External Sales Engineer to ensure the long-term growth of the company. This will be a pivotal role for the company where you will be expected to be visible in the local area pushing their laser profiling services.
Due to the size of the business there is no relocation or sponsorship opportunities for this role.
Job Duties:
- Identify and generate new business opportunities in the laser-cutting market.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential customers for long-term loyalty.
- Qualify leads and convert prospects into lasting clients.
- Achieve or surpass sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for laser-cut parts.
- Collaborate with the technical team to provide accurate product information and timelines.
- Work closely with the design team to ensure optimal product specifications and quality.
- Develop a deep understanding of laser cutting technology, materials, and applications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and technological advancements in laser cutting.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management.
- You will be go into the office for sales support on quotations, estimates and sales delivery 1-2 times a week.
Job Requirements:
- 5 years working within an engineering environment selling technical solutions.
- A knowledge of CAD software being able to interpret designs.
- A clear communicator with strong written, verbal and presenting skills
- Ability to plan your own workload effectively ensuring a steady flow of meetings.
- Knowledge of laser profiling and fabrication is preferred.
- Must have own car & valid licence.
