We are proud to be working with this dynamic and expanding law firm.  This position is working in the Maidenhead area and offering a salary between £28,000 and £3000 dependent upon the amount of residential conveyancing you can offer.  The higer salary can be achieved if you are offering over 3 years conveyancing, a good understanding of the processes and documentation and how involved you can be in the support of the fee earners.

The role also comes with a good benefits package including 25 days days holiday, plus the Bank holidays, contributory pension scheme, health plan and EAP etc.

What you will be doing:

Setting up of new files - accurately and speedily on the instructions of the fee earners

Drafting of legal documents

Attending to clients on the phone and face face

Taking of messages and passing to the appropriate contact 

Assisting with straight forward remortgages and transfers of equity -  Working independently but supported by the relevant fee earner

Dealing with incoming emails and the scanning and copying of documents and corresponsence as directed by the lawyers

Making appointments and arranging diairies and adding to and maintaining the diary

Providing support to other team members as required - there is a strong team spirit throughout the organisation

Ensuring that documentation is kept confidentially and securely.   

 

To carry out this role you will need:

A strong Legal Secretarial background

a minimum of 3 years recent experience of working in a busy conveyancing department 

A good understanding of residential processes 

Under the direction of a lawyer be able to manage the remortgages and transfer of equity

Liaison with all parties

Strong diary management

Excellent written skills and verbal communication skills

This position would suit a Conveyancing Assistant or a strong Conveyancing Secretary who wants  utilise their talents in the support of a busy and successful fee earning team.
