Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in Maidenhead that is looking to hire a Mechanical Fitter. A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
The Mechanical Fitter will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Technician, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical skills, including fitting, assembly, and maintenance.
  • Experience working with mechanical components such as gears, bearings, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly techniques.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving license is essential due to travel requirements.
The Mechanical Fitter role will involve:
  • Assembling, fitting, and maintaining mechanical components and systems.
  • Working from technical drawings to complete mechanical builds.
  • Inspecting and testing mechanical assemblies to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Identifying and resolving mechanical faults and issues.
  • Collaborating with engineers and other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Occasionally traveling to customer sites for installation, servicing, or maintenance.
