Experienced Fettler / Deburrer / Labourer urgently required to work for a specialist sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing business based near maidenhead. We are looking for someone with experience working with a variety of metal parts that have been fabricated, formed, cut etc, you will be responsible for fettling, deburring, Acid cleaning, metal polishing, removing burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections from metal components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deburr and fettle metal components using hand tools, power tools, and abrasives.
- Acid cleaning of materials
- Metal polishing
- Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
- Identify and report any defects or non-conformities in components.
- Operate and maintain fettling and deburring equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with metals and Fettling, Deburring, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
