Windsor Forest College Group is looking forAnimal Management Instructortojoin the BCA team on a full-time basis.

Animal Management Instructor

Your role as an Animal Management Instructor involves demonstrating, instructing, and assessing learners in animal management courses. You are responsible for supervising students on the Animal Centre during their duties and practical tasks, as well as leading the development, monitoring, and assessment of practical skills. Additionally, you support lecturers and technicians in delivering units and professional development sessions and assist with the management of the animals' welfare and daily care. You also have administrative responsibilities, such as maintaining assessment records, individual learner plans, and recording students' progress and attendance. Coordinating and inducting work placement students, carrying out routine animal tasks during non-instructional periods, and assisting with events and open days are also part of your duties. It is essential to maintain safe-working practices, adhere to college regulations and health and safety procedures, and contribute to the development of the animal management curriculum and Animal Centre. Finally, you must follow Animal Management Centre procedures, protocols, and risk assessments, and maintain accurate animal records using ZIMS and other record-keeping methods.
