Quantum Scholars are currently working alongside a vibrant secondary school based in Maidenhead that is seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to start on a supply basis. This is a temporary position starting ASAP with the potential to continue until July 2025. The ideal candidate must be currently teaching in the UK, have a significant amount of UK teaching experience and be able to teach History to secondary school level(11-16 years old).

The school hiring are rated as "Good" by Ofsted. They are a mixed comprehensive secondary school located in Maidenhead, Berkshire. It is based in an fantastic area and the behaviour of the students are good.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality history lessons tailored to the secondary school curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and progress.
  • Assess and monitor student achievement, providing constructive feedback to ensure improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and school initiatives.
  • Maintain excellent classroom management and uphold school policies.

Requirements:

  • A degree in History or a related subject (teaching qualification preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience teaching history to secondary school students.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Must be available ASAP!
