A college in Maidenhead, catering to students aged 16-19, is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming SEN department. This department supports students with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, mental health challenges, and physical disabilities. Your role will be to provide that essential extra support throughout the school day.

The ideal Teaching Assistant brings positivity, energy, and a genuine interest in supporting young adults with special needs. You'll work to build strong relationships with students, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment. Previous experience with SEN children or adults is advantageous, and qualifications in psychology, criminology, health & social care, or a Level 3 Qualification would be beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:In this role, you will support students in both one-on-one and group settings, assisting them as they progress through their chosen studies. You'll help explain instructions, keep students engaged and motivated, and create an enjoyable learning atmosphere. The college aims to equip students with practical and vocational skills to prepare them for life beyond education.
