Reed Accountancy & Finance, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment partner, is currently seeking a skilled Financial Controller for an interim position with our client based in Maidstone. Financial Controller Day-to-day of the role:- Oversee the operations of the finance department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure credibility of the Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
- Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
- Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Accountancy Qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate for the Financial Controller position would need to show experience obtained from a similar Financial Controller role, be in commutable distance to our client in Maidstone, be able to work full-time in their office, and be available to start work immediately.
