We are seeking a Polymer Technician to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new polymer formulations and processes, as well as contributing to product innovation and quality. This role is ideal for someone with a minim one year experience within the polymer industry.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Innovate and refine polymer-based product formulations to meet evolving customer preferences, market demands, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand the versatility and diversity of the product offerings.
  • Conduct research to enhance the performance and sustainability of current polymer compounds, aligning with industry trends and environmental objectives.
  • Assess and integrate new raw materials to optimize product features, focusing on cost-effectiveness, eco-friendliness, and safety improvements.
  • Engage in the mixing and formulation of PVC and other polymer materials,
  • Exploration of new ink systems and ink formulations.
  • Contribute to fire safety compliance efforts by participating in relevant testing and maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide technical support and insights, troubleshooting to ensure optimal outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in polymers and plastics - minimum one year industry experience
  • Science/Plastics technology qualification or equivalent technical ability – minimum A-Level Chemistry/HND/HNC or similar
  • Experience with fire retardant materials in polymers.
  • Chemicals safety knowledge.
  • Must be a driver due to the site location.
