Job Opportunity: Assistant Director of Transformation

Role overview:

You'll have a critical role in driving the transformation agenda across the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to manage large-scale projects and programs that support our strategic objectives. You'll lead the Transformation function to deliver impactful results and ensure seamless integration across all business units.

What you'll be doing:

Leadership

  • Provide strategic thought leadership, expertise, and guidance in areas like business change, service design, project management, and delivery.
  • Foster strong relationships, ensuring the Transformation function is well integrated across Golding.
  • Oversee relationships with external suppliers, ensuring high-quality transformation and delivery.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry trends.
  • Actively participate in the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to company-wide strategy and reporting on Transformation performance metrics.

Transformation

  • Drive the successful execution of transformation projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, on time, and on budget.
  • Implement and manage governance processes and frameworks to support prioritisation, status reporting, and benefits realisation for the Executive Team.
  • Oversee the Transformation budget, including forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Champion the Transformation agenda, partnering closely with internal teams to align on vision, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable capabilities.
  • Work closely with the AD of IT and Data to ensure cohesive vision and objectives across departments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to:
    • Assess the organisation's capacity for change and ensure effective project adoption.
    • Strategically influence and negotiate resource planning for optimal support of both projects and ongoing operations.
  • Define and standardise project management methodologies to ensure consistency with third-party and external service providers.
  • Communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Establish and support team members with performance management and professional development.

Business Change

  • Lead and support the wider organisation in project delivery, business analysis, and process mapping.
  • Develop and embed a business change framework, ensuring best practices and alignment across Golding.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in managing a transformation function, this can include a Project Management office (PMO).
  • Extensive experience as senior leader, taking on defining scopes, costs, projects benefits to the business, people management, and overseeing teams during the implementation period.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing and portfolio management systems.
  • Skills in applying best practice and delivering programmes, projects and organisation transformations.

What can you expect?

Salary: Up to £100,000 per annum - negotiable

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Working model: Hybrid (1/2 days in office)

Employment: Full-time, permanent
