My client has a varied order book including residential, and commercial coupled with the opportunity to work with an established, and knowledgeable team.

You will be working as part of a Design team and responsible for the provision of
structural drawings, specifications, design, reports and attending external / internal meetings. 
Working with external partners on state of the art design projects including new build and refurb  in London and the South-East. There is an emphasis on building design projects, with work spanning across all major buildings types, with a particular focus on residential sectors.
Responsibilities

•  Completing a range of design work to client specification across residential/commercial projects.
•  Working on a big range of projects, designs and materials used
•  Structural Engineer on projects large and small.
.•  Structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
•  Undertake analysis and design using a range of software packages including TEDDS
•  Ensure that quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports etc.) is 
maintained.
•  Prepare high quality technical reports including structural surveys.

About you:

•  Proficient in drawings and CAD software
•  Ability to confidently liaise with clients
•  Able to present technical information clearly
•  Working under pressure and to tight time frames
•  Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
•  Familiar with relevant codes of practice, Eurocodes and British Standards that apply to the 
design of cold formed sections and building structures.
•  Experience of 2D & 3D modelling software would be advantageous.
•  Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook and a focus on high quality 
work.
•  Proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
•  Full driving licence would be beneficial.

Qualifications

•  Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering
