We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Cook to prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for students and staff.
  • Ensure all meals meet the dietary needs and preferences of SEN students.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
  • Manage food inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborate with school staff to create menus that support the health and well-being of students.
  • Accommodate special dietary requirements and allergies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a school or similar setting.
  • Must have an enhanced DBS, or willing to get one.
  • Knowledge of dietary needs and nutrition, especially for children with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the well-being of students.
