We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teacher to join a supportive team in the Maidstone area. This role involves working with a small group of 10-11 students aged 5-6, including children with ASD. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing a nurturing learning environment for children with a range of needs.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver educational activities that facilitate active learning experiences for early years students.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Assess and record each student’s progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students, particularly those with ASD.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment where all children feel included.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teaching assistants and SENCOs, to support the development of each child.
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school’s educational programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience working with early years children, including those with ASD.
  • Strong understanding of the early years curriculum and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to engage children and encourage their social and academic development.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive approach to teaching.
