A growing manufacturing business is searching for a Sustainability & Compliance Assistant in the greater Maidstone area.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Communicating with suppliers to gain due diligence information and then filing the records on the internal and customer due diligence platforms
  • Updating the approved supplier lists for both internal and customer use
  • Monitoring due diligence throughout the supply period and investigate incidences including near-misses, unapproved arrivals and non-compliancy, recording all information accurately
  • Undertaking supplier recall and traceability activities as needed
  • Overseeing the chemical surveillance testing schedule on a daily basis relating to supplier arrivals
  • Gathering and reviewing the supplier environmental data in relation to Carbon Emissions, Food waste, Water and Sustainable Farming certification
You MUST Have:Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • A university degree or equivalent in either Food Science, Environmental Manager or Environmental Science
  • Preferably a background in the scientific sector
  • Good knowledge of IT systems, especially in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and also Power BI
  • Working knowledge or prior use of online sustainability platforms
  • Good ability to manage large datasets
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with stakeholder management and relations
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
