Assistant Manager
- Annual Salary: £45,000 (depending on experience)

Reed is working with a well-established accountancy practice in Maidstone seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to support the partner and senior managers with client’s portfolios. This role involves reviewing work undertaken by junior staff, providing training and advice to enhance their skills, and managing a small portfolio of clients which will build over time as the successful candidate grows with the role and in experience.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist the partner and senior managers with client portfolio management.
- Review and provide feedback on work undertaken by junior staff, helping to train and improve their skills.
- Manage and expand a small client portfolio, ensuring all accounting and tax affairs are meticulously handled.
- Provide expert advice on tax, accounting, and business matters to clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant or part-qualified ACCA or ACA.
- Experience in at least a junior management role, interacting with clients and junior staff, preferably with some client portfolio experience.
- Possession of a driving licence and own car, as client visits and other tasks may require travel.
