Audit Assistant Manager - Top 20

Ambition at working with a globally renowned firm that are looking for an Audit Assistant Manager due to new clients wins.

You will be working across a variety of sectors that could include retail, manufacturing, tech, professional services or NFP and more. While most clients will be non listed there is still the opportunity to work on listed clients for those that want to.

The firm offer extensive training and development and are heavily investing in technology to ensure than you remain fully up to date as the industry changes. The firm pride themselves on looking after their people, and invest in staff to help them be the best they can be.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and conducting statutory audits, participating in all phases from planning to completion.
  • Demonstrating initiative and taking charge of audit management and team coordination to ensure timely completion within budget.
  • Serving as the main contact for clients during on-site fieldwork.
  • Leading on-site teams and assisting in the supervision and development of team members.
  • Producing high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Supervising audit teams on-site, reviewing Associates' work, and aiding Senior Audit Managers in project management and client communication.
  • Collaborating with other Assistant Managers to report to a Senior Manager on large, complex audit assignments, while managing a small client portfolio.
  • Executing work profitably and punctually, adhering to the firm's professional standards and satisfying clients and senior audit managers.
  • Assisting the team in delivering a quality audit schedule and providing insightful feedback for client reports.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Leading assurance and risk management projects, liaising with clients, and preparing client reports.
  • Meeting deadlines and promptly notifying the partner of any potential issues during assignments.
  • Identifying opportunities for other experts in the firm to provide relevant services to meet client needs.
  • Managing work in progress and billing for client assignments.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
  • Possessing experience with complex groups, reporting structures, and coordinating with component auditors.
  • Offering practical, proactive business advice to clients, while escalating significant control issues to the partner.
  • Demonstrating thorough knowledge of business cycle controls, recognizing audit risks and business implications where controls are lacking, ineffective, or inefficient.

Requirements

  • ACA ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent
  • Ensures adequate CPD is undertaken in relevant disciplines/client sectors.
  • At least 2 years of recent UK audit experience
  • Right to work in the UK
