We are seeking a Finance Manager to join an organisation in Maidstone. This role involves monitoring, recording, and providing accurate financial information and supporting documentation. You will work directly under the Finance Director and closely with the existing Finance Manager and the external Company Accountant.
Day-to-day of the role:- Handle sales invoicing and manage sales debtors.
- Oversee expenses and manage company credit cards.
- Assist with the financial aspects of new supplier onboarding.
- Share responsibility for the purchase ledger with another part-time finance manager.
- Provide cover/support during any holiday periods of our accounts team.
- Make suggestions for improvements to financial controls and processes.
- Support on company audits and HMRC matters as directed by the Finance Director.
- Assist with queries from the Finance Director and external Company Accountant.
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organised and self-disciplined.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to work to monthly deadlines.
- Good team worker with an understanding of CIS and Reverse VAT for construction.
- Proficient in Sage and Excel, and a good working knowledge of commercial management systems.
- Enthusiastic personality with a willingness to grow the role and contribute to the business.
- Good IT knowledge, experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word.
- Experience with Eque2 cost management system (training will be provided).
- Experienced in Sage accounting systems.
- Competitive salary range of £37.5k to £40k.
