Finance Manager | Up to £55k | Maidstone

We are delighted to be working exclusively with our privately-owned client who are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to their growing team as the business grows and increases its industry presence. They are a business that prides themselves on having a fantastic company culture and are looking for someone who is commercially minded who can build strong relationships within the business.

Key Duties for this role include -

  • Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations for the business and mentoring of junior team members
  • Preparation of monthly management reports and provision of commentary
  • Analyse trends to maximise profits
  • Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and accounting entries
  • Provide support to department heads to ensure budgets remain on track
  • Ensure financial accounting, controls and reporting are developed and documented
  • Prepare and present statutory accounts
  • Lead the payroll, VAT and HMRC processes
  • Nurture business relationships with auditors, solicitors and bank
  • Liaise with external parties in completion of tax, audit and banking
  • Drive continuous improvement of accounting practices

The ideal candidate will -

  • Be fully qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA or candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Be commercially minded and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on business
  • Be able to build strong business relationships
  • Strong analytical skills and always be looking to add value
