Lecturer in EnglishSalary £33771 to £41515Location: Cross CampusJob Type: Full-time-Permanent???????We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in English to join our vibrant college team. This role involves contributing to the successful learning experiences of students through high-quality teaching and effective course management, in line with the college's standards and objectives.

Day-to-day of the role:Deliver engaging and effective teaching across a range of college courses and programmes, including GCSE, Functional Skills, A Levels, Vocational Courses, and Higher Education Programmes.Develop and maintain course materials, schemes of work, and lesson plans, ensuring their availability through the college's shared information system.Lead and contribute to the personal and academic development of students.Participate actively in curriculum development and course coordination.Perform administrative, tutorial, and pastoral duties for one or more groups of full-time or part-time students.Engage in marketing activities, student recruitment, interviewing, and the induction of new members.Assess student progress, monitor their achievements, and provide timely feedback.Maintain and update course and student records and associated administration.Develop and maintain links with employers and contribute to the team’s collective responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in teaching English at various educational levels.Ability to create and maintain comprehensive educational materials and lesson plans.Strong organisational and leadership skills to manage course teams and contribute to administrative duties.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster an engaging learning environment.Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practices.Familiarity with educational standards and requirements in English education.
