A growing manufacturing business is searching for a Technical Assistant in the greater Maidstone area.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining various customer technical libraries
  • Organising trials and samples, being as involved as needed
  • Providing weekly KPI reports for meetings, providing technical managers visibility on internal and customer KPI reporting
  • Spearheading technical continual improvements as outlined within the trackers, delivering process and system improvements while creating SOPs
  • Communicating with technical and commercial teams, delivering customer facing and supplier facing analysis of relevant information and plan of how to manage compliance going forwards
  • Supporting the delivery of customer service with clean communication both internally and with the customer regarding complaint reporting, year-on-year comparisons, depot inspections and benchmarking
  • Providing crop reports across the categories
  • Supporting technical managers with quality culture, training and reporting, as well as category transformations by administering review, coordinating samples, packaging and meetings
  • Maintaining benchmarking formats for compiled samples
  • Supporting the packaging team
  • Supporting policy change and new standards, deploying these across the supply base and packing sites

  • Previous experience handling auditing - GMP, and have an understanding or experience in customer audit requirements
  • Be HACCP Level 2 and TACCP trained
  • Have knowledge of BRCGS
  • Good ERP systems exposure, specifically Prophet would be desirable
  • Experience in ripening across multiple categories
  • Exposure to a factory environment, ideally within food produce
  • Knowledge of labelling requirements
