About the role:
As a Line Leader, you’ll be responsible for running a production line efficiently and safely, ensuring orders are packed correctly to customer specifications. You’ll lead a team of packers, infeed/outfeed operators, and a pallet truck driver—coaching them, guiding them, and ensuring top performance from the line.
Your working hours:
Full-time over 5 days, including weekends. Evening shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up and operating machinery (GT2 and GT2s heat sealers, checkweighers, metal detectors, label applicators)
- Leading line teams and ensuring all members understand their responsibilities
- Overseeing packaging usage and ensuring customer specifications are met
- Performing regular equipment calibrations and hygiene checks
- Monitoring production performance and reporting issues as needed
- Ensuring cleaning and maintenance procedures are followed using digital tablets
- Completing all necessary quality, safety, and production documentation
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience as a Line Leader or in a similar food production role is essential
- Strong organisational and team leadership skills
- Good working knowledge of packaging and machinery setup in a packhouse or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet targets
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
What’s in it for you:
Starting hourly rate of £14.00-£15.00, with performance reviews after the initial 3-month training and probation period.
