We are currently partnering with a Local Government based in Kent, who are recruiting for a Planning Lawyer to join their growing team on a temporary basis of initially 9-months.

This is a full-time or part-time position and the rate is negotiable.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Helping the team with S106 caseload support, compulsory purchase and regeneration legal work, including high value major development and infrastructure projects
  • Supporting the team with public enquiries and autonomously dealing with caseloadProviding high quality well researched legal advice and assistance to client departments within agreed timescales, in regards to planning matters
  • Supporting the Principal Solicitor and other colleagues in ensuring that a professional, comprehensive legal service is provided to the Council, its Members and Officers
  • Advising at Planning Committees as required

Experience required:

  • Must be a qualified solicitor
  • 2 years + PQE
